idk if this is what youre looking for but when i saw the word scene i thought;;
mindless self indulgence
porcelain and the tramps
enter shikari possibly

not so much electro but a kind of scene band is you me at six

theyre all kind of 'scene' with electro/techno in it
if i remember any more i'll edit this though

and lol i need to thank you i looked up the secret handsake when i saw this and now love them :)

Take a look at those bands on Amazon. They'll recommend what other people are listening to. iTunes also has this feature.
