Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: and are YOU any good at it ?

i dont think there is a wrong way to dance, but i dont know about when ive been out on the lash, and had one to many

dancing like a chicken is never a good look!!
listen to the music and go with the flow!

'Wedding - Do Dads' - and yes!!

There is no wrong way to dance because it is self expression. Yes I am good at dancing.

Oooh, my flippant answer would be dad dancing (& you should see my dad dancing haha). In truth, no there isn't a wrong way to dance. There may be dancing that is more appropriate to certain audiences or situations but dance is essentially a joy & life-enhancing, if it feels good....
The second part of your question as to whether I'm any good, guess that would also depend on who's judging - I trained in classical ballet & did my degree in contemporary dance, so someone must have thought I was ok.

Any time I went to a club I always offered to watch the bags and drinks so the others could go strut their stuff. It was either that or embarrass myself and being 6ft 1in in bare feet I tend to stick out like a sore thumb so dancing was definitely out!

dancing is great fun...
it is also a form of self expression... so there's no "wrong" way
but if people are pointing and laughing...
you might want to express yourself in private!
have fun!
;-)

"to those of us with real understanding, dancing is the only pure art form!" Snoopy

yea

The is no wrong way to dance, only a wrong way to do "dances"
The Waltz
The Polka
and more recent dances like
The Chicken Noodle Soup
The LipGloss
Sounds crazy right? Those are the dances the in crowd is and/or were doing at the moment.
Dance is about self expression. Like physical poetry.
Poetry has a formula to follow and so does dance.

Movement X Self Expression + rhythm = Dancing

Move your body by the amount of self expression you wish to reveal add rhythm and that is dancing

Adding music to the equation is optional but doing so help to quantify ( or give value to ) the expression.

So open up your My Music folder, get out of your chair and make some room. Kick back, let loose and have some fun.

If you're dancing within a technique, such as ballet, you could be doing it incorrectly. You can still do things that aren't normally seen in ballet, that in class could be considered "wrong," but if it's within choreography, you can pretty much do what you want. Within a technique, dancing the "wrong" way could get you hurt. There's a reason for technique.

Within regular dancing, you can do whatever the hell you'd like!

well, you can have improper technique...

the answers is NO as long as you look like you are having fun, then poeple will love it. dancing is about having fun and celebrating! Dance with a smile, happy attitude, and stay cordinated and to the beat.... then you will be amazing!

i don't know if i am good, lol, check me out and let me know by commenting on that site please...

no there is no way to dance and i am very good at dancing.

No and yes.

There is. The dance that is causing injuries to you or others is wrong. The dance that's offensive to general public is wrong too. I consider myself to be pretty good at dancing.
