Question:doing a lot of barre exercises will improve your turn out . also try researching different techniques of stretching. the butterfly stretch is when you put your soles of your feet together while sitting. your legs should be bent and spread apart. your legs should look like butterfly wings. ideally, you want to get your heels of your feet as close to your crotch as possible while making sure your knees and legs are touching the floor. ( so it should look like a flattened butterfly. ) another stretch is when you lay completely flat on your stomach and put your arms by your side . then you want to bend the legs at your knees and spread your legs apart and touch both soles of feet together. it looks like the butterfly stretch only upside-down. you want to spread out your legs at most as possible and you can have someone push your legs down carefully. you can also take yoga classes to improve your turnout, but you must remember that turn out is not just at the feet but think about turning your whole leg out starting from the hips, to the inner thigh, inner calves and ankles and then the feet. good luck!

practice it and it will look better and better i had a horrible turnout but now my teacher said im the best when we do turnouts because practice makess perfecttt!!

I'm an Irish dancer and I don't really know the rules for ballet or other dances... but start with your feet heel to toe and make sure that your entire leg is turned out all the way up to your hip. Now keeping your foot in that same position bring the back foot forward and stary walking like that forward. Keeping your foot flexed as you go. After a while stop with your right leg in front and make sure you're in the tightest turnout you can be in and bend over towards the floor. Don't worry about how much distance you can cover on the walks the less the better. Slowly roll up and do the same "duck" walk backwards. Stop with your left leg in front and bend over.
