Yes it's hard to count!

The melody has some really tricky rhythms in it and some syncopations to it that are somewhat complex. It's in 4/4, but I think because the melody is so complex and the phrasing used is not standard, you're going to have to rely on a rock solid knowledge of the song in order to dance well to it.

You're going to have to know where those phrases start and end just by listening to it and moving to it over and over and over again until it's second nature.

Don't give up, and no, it's not just you, that's a tough one to count because of the phrasing.

that is hard to count lol.

i think its kind of a quick beat thats at least what i got out of it. but then it slows down at some points so its confusing.

the best thing to do would be to just try to dance at the bells or the beats or whatever is in the background lol.

i listened to it twice trying to pick out a steady rythm but i couldn't get it haha

It is hard, it's either really fast or really slow. It helps me to snap my fingers & count 8 counts out, this will help keep the beet.

t is easy u just count numbers over and over again

I didn't know she sang!!! I think it's in eight, but in some songs you have to wait a beat or two here and there to get it back on eight time.... goood luck.

It's 4/4, which you count 1-2-3-4 , 1 being the strongest beat.
Start counting when she starts singing. "When she Was younger ..." "younger" corresponds to 1. Once you found it, pay attention to the music how it corresponds to your counting. Bells (or something like it) in the background keep the rhythm. Now count following the music, not her voice. Because soon her singing will change but you should keep counting with the music. Her singing is very interestingly syncopated and it makes counting confusing. But it is an awesome song to dance to because it's so beautiful and rich. Good choice of music.

I'm pretty sure it's 4/4. I'm a dancer, too. Just count 1-2-3-4 as one count. Or you could do two counts at a time and do 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8. Good luck!
By the way, that's a really good song. I like Emmy Rossum!
