Position:Home>Dancing> Which is easier, Tap or Irish Step Dancing?

Question:As a tap dancer, I was watching an Irish Step Dance at my school. It looked pretty easy because I reconized repitive hops, shuffles, steps, and other simple moves although they moved faster. Out of curiosity, I was wondering which one is easier.

i take tap and i would say at beginners level after you get the hang of it it can be easy but im at the advanced level and that is very hard. irish dancing doesnt look to hard but im not sure. but if you wanted to do one as a hobbie then beginning tap wouldnt be to hard but if you move up it really is. trustme.

I've done both, and I think Tap is easier. With the hardshoes (irish) you odn't really stop, and you don't use your arms at all. Balancing is tricky when you are goin gthat fast with your arms stiff by your sides.

i would think tap was easyer

i do both and tap is easier if you're at a lower level. if you go up to an extreme level, than it would be harder than irish but if you just want to know as a hobby, than do tap.

OhhhhhMyyyyyGoooshhh! They look so cool when they do irish dancing! But tap is soooooo much easier!LOL:-)

Since you already know tapp then ofcorse tapp but since irish step danceing is similar to that then maybe if you took a class maybe it will be okay and tapp is fast and dont let that get through your head.
