Question:I'm a gymnast and for my floor routine I am using the music to "Hips Don't Lie" by Shakira and my choreographer has A LOT of hip shaking in it. Now I've always been good at dance and I normally pick up things easily but I CAN'T SEEM TO SHAKE MY DAMN HIPS!! So if ANYONE, especially latin dancers, know any tips to help me get my hips shaking then please help!

Stop thinking about your hips. The hip action comes from knee action and is enhanced by isolation, not allowing your ribcage to move with the hips. A decent dance instructor can show you.

try a hula hoop

Drink lots of prune juice.

Use your hands to move your hips the right way until you get a hang of it...that's how I learned :)
