Stretch thoroughly first to make sure you're loose. If your back leg is bending either your hips are not square or you're pushing your self farther than you can go right now. Stand up and slide slowly into a split and put your hands on the floor. Keep your torso up. if your leg starts to bend. Stop and hold it there. That will stretch out your muscles, eventually you'll get to a full split. If you have a good straddle, try rotating from that into a split. Also the wall is your friend, you can do straddles against the wall sitting down or face away from the wall, put your back leg against it with your hands on the floor and push towards the wall. I think this is the best way, but you can also do it right side up if you're in a door way and you have something to push against behind you.

just keep on doing the splits until u get it! remember....practice makes perfect!

Practice and more practice. Eventually as your muscles learn to stretch it will start to get easier.

just strenght everyday andpush hard to the ground u will get it!!

Try lowering yourself in a full-split (both legs to the sides), then slowly turn to face in one direction. Point your back leg's toes.

You might be "tight" and need to warm up with stretches - try stretching your hamstrings/quadriceps across a bar or along a wall.

Also...probably stating the obvious, but have you tried putting your OTHER leg to the front?

I would not know because I would not even attempt that.

you might need to lift yourself up a bit and square your hips more in order to straighten the back leg. I have the same problem.

i would try a strech put one foot 90 degrees and the other one open then stretch then stand up in a v shape stretch over the foot u had on 90 degrees after like 15 seconds just split this warms u up and helps do it with the other foot and practice it

alright well slowly go into a split and at soon as your back leg starts to bend... STOP. force it to be straight (it's gonna hurt), hold that position until you feel comfortable and then go a little lower, still forcing your back leg to stay straight. repeat this process. this will take a few tries and some time but you'll get it

try splitting your legs against a solid object such as a wall!!!!!!! then you will stretch and soon you will be able to do it good luck

ok well first of all dont force it, thts a good way to pull something which may take a long time to heal. 2nd, do know any stretches tht are ment for strething your hamstring? if u spend 1-2 hours [at the least] each day doing them, your split will deffinatly be perfect in no time. oh yeah and 3rd, when ur streching in a split dont bounce up and down, even thought it may feel like its stretching your leg its not, because all tht doese is tighten ur hamstring and then you won;t have much luck streching it out. if u want some really helpfull split stretched email me!
