Question Home

Position:Home>Dancing> Out of tango, ballroom, and square dance. Which do you think most contributes to

Question:None of these started in the United States. Tango is from Argentina, ballroom is a variety of dances (most of which are from Europe), and square dancing is an English dance that derived from Scottish folk dancing.

That being said, square dancing is the most identifiable with 'cowboy culture', which is identifiably American.

Personally, I'm going to say that Tango does the most for dance in general, because of the constant evolution of steps and integration of outside ideas, not unlike English integrating other languages. (Much to the dismay of our English teachers).
