Should i quit dance! HELP major problem!?

Question:So i have been dancing for 8 years. Since last year i have been unhappy with my dance school. I have not learned anything really new. We learn maybe 3 more "kinda new" stuff each year, and i want a challenge. I am not getting it. Also im not treated as well and other girls. Some girls mothers are really really close with the owner and they get "special" treatment. They are always fooling around and they never get in trouble, but if i fool around i get yelled at! But i still stayed in dance because I love it and i like to compete, but as of today i think i made the wrong choice. Last week i was sick. I heard from another girl that 4 girls in my hip-hop class were doing an extra competion. 3 out of the 4 are in all my other competitive classes. This girl told me the were doing a 5 and under group. I thought once i learn this bit i will be in too, since i have been competing since 7 or 8. Today i came to hip-hop class and worked my butt off. AT the end of the class she called the 4 and

i would leave this dance school dont ever quit dance find a better dance school I know what you mean I went through this too if your not in the circle then you have no hope there.

If you really love it maybe you could try to dance somewhere else where you'll be treated fairly and can be challenged.

if its somethin u enjoy, i wouldn't quit, i'd give those girls a piece of my mind, and forget about the special treatment, it shouldn't mean a thing, if u enjoy it, give em a piece of ur mind, u shouldn't have 2 feel this way about shomething u love.

From experience the other girls are getting special treatment because of their parents involvement/kissing up to the teacher. Tell your mom to talk to the teacher I highly doubt she wants to lose the money of you leaving for another company if that doesn't work change dance companies I did when I was young.

What do you see there? How do you feel? Do you feel heavy or light? Strong or weak? Then imagine walking down the other road and see what you see, and feel what you feel.
Go with the choice that makes you feel strong and good about yourself.

Don't quit, just find another class that's better. I made the mistake of quitting. I was maybe 7 and I had been doing dance for a few years. I wish I had stayed because I would be really good right now. It's kind of too late though. But I guess how would I have known that at 7?

Yeah! Go to a different dance school because those girls a freakin' retarded. Don't worry; what goes around, comes around. Good luck and don't give up! ;)

Yeah change dance, same thing hapened to me, i LOVE to dance. other people who were worse than me got treated better so i changed schools

never do anything you're unhappy with. If i was in your shoes, i would start looking for others schools. Stay in this class, and scope out others. Once u find one u like, drop the recent one. Hope i helped a little:)

you could always try another place & if things arent really better or worse, go back to where youve taken.

i took from the same place for 10 years...
i didnt get along with the teacher or other girls because they all had attitudes, so i quit & havent taken for the past 3 years.

i really missed it, so now im beginning at another place & i really think this new place is the best fit for me.

so dont be afraid to try out some other places.
you may want to go sit in on a class first, just to see if the teacher & style fit you.

you shouldnt quit something because of another person, but because you either dont like it or dont want to do it anymore. i'd recommend finding another studio.

NO dont quit. if you love it dont quit. go to a new place with an open mind and meet new people. never look at dancing as you arnt learning anything new. i learn something new everyday and i have been dancing for 7 years. its not that i dont already know its that i learn a different way so always keep an open mind dance is always changing

DONT QUIT!!!! i would be straight up to the girls and tell them how you feel, if they do nothing go to your dance teacher, if still nothing happens you should move schools, but maybe the girls are just jelous that tyou may be better then them. just see what happens, but dont quit dancing for good, it is amazing and when you are dancing noone else matters, you can just forget everything, DONT QUIT!!!
