hey :P

how far can you already go??

if you stretch every day for like 5 mins or more if you feel like it then you should be down all the way in about a month depending on your flexibility you could get it sooner o later! :D

hear is some usefull stretches...

straddle - sit on the floor with your legs open as far as comfortable then gently lean forward (this should hurt a little but its not uncomfortable) the longer you stay there the more it will feel good! every day you will get further and further.

calf's- sit on the floor with your legs together and lean forward try to get your chest to the floor. this will also hurt a little but then what kind of stretch doesn't ?

butterfly- sit on the floor with your feet together (not cross legged) and first try and get your knees to the floor by gently bounce your knees up and down and maybe push them down a little! next try and get your head to touch your feet.

those are the basic stretches that i use every day and i can do the front splits and the box splits :D

good luck x

half an hour with me should do the trick sweetheart

this is funny, i had the urge to do the splits in my kitchen the other day because the tiles were slidey, anyway i tried and did not suceed very well i got about 2 thirds of the way and thats all, im going to watch this question andim going to train myself lol.

Varies. Some people are more flexible than others.

If yu dont stretch and stuff thn it will take you a long long long time. I mean if yur starting from sctratch but me i knew how to do the splits since i was 5 and now im like 12 and i do over splits and stuff like that. Buts thats also because i take 5 dance classes a week

Depends on how much you push yourself....if you're starting from scratch I suggest you first stretch out your right leg on the ground with the left leg bent in....reach for your toes (when you get better you'll be able to touch your nose to your knee.....
THEN do the same thing with your left....
After you do that....
close your legs in front of you and reach for your toes again (when you can fully do this exercise, youll be able to touch your nose to the center of your knees)
THEN do the butterfly and make sure you're back is straight and try to touch your nose to the ground *HINT: keep your feet as close as you can to your body*
THEN open your legs as far as you can go and try to lie down on your stomach!

IT HELPS TO HAVE A PARTNER WITH YOU....ASK YOUR PARTNER TO PUSH DOWN ABOUT AN INCH AFTER YOU YOURSELF HAVE GONE THE MOST YOU CAN GO!

keep each stretch for about 10-15 seconds (THE LONGER THE BETTER)

When you see that you're able to do these stretches all the way, then you'll be ready to sit a split!

For me, never. I am unable to even squat, never could, even when I was just a kid.
