I'm 14, I've been dancing for 12 years. I was inspired to dance from Shirley Temple, Gene Kelley, Fred Astaire, Eleanor Powell, all of the great tap dancers. It's kind of crazy though, because I don't really tap dance, I did for 5 years. The rest is ballet and jazz. I've done ballet for 12 years, tap for 5, and jazz for 4. Dance is my life. I do it every day, and I am so lucky that I get to go to a performing arts high school where I get to dance every single day with an instructor. But I also take 3 classes outside of school, I dance 5 hours a week at school, 3 hours with classes out of school, and 7 hours just on my own time. I'm kind of a nut that way..

But anyways, I never would have started to dance if my grandparents didn't get me to watch the movies with all of those seriously skilled dancers in them, especially, "An American In Paris", which has just, the mother load of dances in it. It's completely amazing, and I think everyone should watch it :)
Everything inspires me, music, especially Queen, movies, people, broadyway. It's hard to narrow it down.

well, my older brother, but i quit after my first year.

My baby sitter took me to see Swan Lake when I was about 3 and I loved how beautiful it all was. I started ballet when I was five.

Well, I have never considered dancing in my life. I guess if I did it all of my friends would laugh and call me gay so I steered well away from that area. We don't have dancing lessons down where I live either, so I really have no choice if I wanted to do it or not.

hm, i'm not sure how it first inspired me, but i loved to sing sence i was 5ish, so then i just liked to dance, and i made up dances and dance moves with friends, and last year i finally got to join dance class:)

expression is what enspired me to perform hip-hop dance because i look @ dancing as expressing your inner feelings.

My mom danced with Milwaukee Ballet. She put me in classes starting when I was 3. It's pretty much been my life since then.

hahah nice starring jayden wait i mean tyson impersonating jayden hahahaha i dont dance so yeah

I was born a dancer, Instead of kicking in my moms stomach, I would dance......even ask the doctor. My parents got me into ballet when I was really little, and I kept adding a new style of dance every year. Now I do Tap, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Lyrical.

The inspirations came from within myself. I wanted to learn ballroom dances for a very long time, and I often realized that although I am generally good in fitness and sports, I am not good at all of swinging my body or guiding my partner.

However, after so much struggle and uncertainty, I decided to give it a try.

After about 22 lessons, I learned the basic steps, and could dance!

Well I dance, but not for a school or anything like that. I simply dance for fun. I usually dance to spanish music, such as Muerengue-my favorite, Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia and other latin dances that are a little older. Anyways, I first started dancing when I was like, hmm maybe around 7 or 8 yrs old.
I mean what else can you expect I was the first male of the family after 4 girls and the youngest of my sisters is 8 yrs older than me. ****I'm surprised I didn't come out gay, JK I'm straight just for those who didn't get it.******
Anyways, the first music I started dancing to was cumbia. Then I started liking salsa but this one is a little more complicated then I started to see how people danced muerengue and this was the one I thought was the easiest to follow. And now everytime I here any kind of latin music I start to dance, when I'm doing my chores, waking up, dressing, in the shower, even when I drive-I have to say, I have scared my mom many times doing this last one. lol

Watching hip hop dancers on tv such as usher inspired me to become a hip hop dancer. I love the music you dance to and the movements you do that represent emotion. dancing is like a high that no other drug can give me. when i dance i feel like im in heaven and right now its the only thing i do that puts a smile on my face and makes me happy. not a day goes by that i dont dance. even when im in the car sitting down or driving i cant help but move because the music just makes me want to dance.

i guess it is in my blood as my mum was a ballet teacher for a few years other than that it was mainly movies and seeing things on tv and wishin i could do them!
i guess dancing was the only thing i had in my life that was steady because my dad is in the airforce and i have moved all my life ballet is the one thing that never changes! i get inspired by feelings songs or even just messing around it just comes to me!

well my parents put me in dance when i was 3 just to give me something 2 do, stayed that way until i was about 8 then i realized how much of a impact it really has on my life and i really started to enjoy it, it just grew on me over the years and the love i had for it grew and i still dance today.

I am not a regular or trained dancer. But I like to watch dances may it be classical or salsa or folk or tribal or anything. Though I am not at all a good dancer but several times I have participated in dancing program in my school or in locality.

And the thing that inspired me most is --- Music.
A good rhythm in music makes me rocking literally and I feel that is my inspiration. Next hats off to a good dancer who aired my urge of dancing to the level of reality.

May be i am not a good dancer but if I am enjoying my music I love to dance in the way I can.

My friend Sydney did. She's a beautiful dancer and she inspired in me a love of ballet and dancing.

Also, there was this one day in my dance class at school, where we were doing barrework and other ballet stuff. And everyone else was complaining that it was boring, and I just turned around and looked at Sydney and said "I love this. I have to keep doing this."

Cynthia Harvey inspired me to try and be a professional dancer though, 'cause she's just that amazing.
