Question:is this possible
i have what were pretty sure are shin splints on my left leg(i would know, ive had them a few times before)
this is the leg that im always on when i do fouettes..i didnt know what caused my shin splints till today at school my friend said her sister got shin splints the week before and the week of her dance tryouts because she was constantly doing her fouettes with no shoes on
i never dance with shoes on(only dance paws)

could this have cause my shin splints?

Your fouettes may be causing your shin splints. Any time there is too much stress on your shin bones you can get shin splints. If as you're between spins you're bending your knees a lot for extra push or jerking up and down to releve too forcefully you may be getting shin splints from that.
I don't think whether or not you're wearing shoes would affect it.

i don't think the shoes would have any affect on it.
if you're not bending your knees when you come down or if you do bend your knees when you come down, but you're not placing them over your toes could cause it.
or if you don't put your heels down.
