How can i construct streamers for liturgical danze?

Question:If you want to have small streamers, I have seen some liturgical dancers use sheer scarves. Alternatively, local fabric stores will have longer bolts of fabric, and you can choose the weight and color of fabric to suit the season. I have seen a lot of sheer purple during Advent, for example. I am not fabric-inclined, so I can't tell you what the actual fabric is, but it was semi-sheer and flowy.
