Bring a flexible ruler and an eraser. Make small balls of chewed paper. Catapult them in the air and see who they land on.

Count the ceiling tiles

listen to the teacher, throw things at other people, doodle that's a classic, day dream about what you want to be doing, think about what you've eaten for the day, contemplate the existance of god vs. fairies, think about the cute guy in your art class.

Honey I have the same problem here at work. Drink some coffee. Take a walk and stretch your legs out.

go out for a moment to wash your face...focus on the teacher and simply think of the quiz which will follow your teacher's discussion coz even how boring the class will you'll have the drive to listen to avoid getting a failed quiz!

I'm in college, working on my third degree, and i still have this problem. This is my completely ridiculous solution. I keep a peice of scrap paper under my notes and I write down the time in bubble letters (number?), but to the past five minutes. like if its 11:34, I write, 11:30. Then I colour it in, and then try to focus again on the teacher and hold off from doing ti again as long as possible. Its always later than the time you wrote, which is good, but it also keeps you from staring at the clock and getting mad because only 30 seconds have gone by!
I know it sounds mental, but it works!

Take notes, thats what I do or just doodle or poke the person next to you or ( I know this one is hard) try to pay attention....I always fall asleep in social studies

Really try to focus and if its an easy concept then try to think of how you could make it harder for yourself. Challenge yourself!!
