omg i love this question a lot! i did a report on her and i learned a lot. she was so interesting. and basically she originated modern dance. she did not like the restrictedness of ballet so she did dances to the way she felt the music. this is kinda where we get lyrical from i.e. the barefoot stuff. so really modern was before lyrical. and she did what she felt in the music and copied the movements of nature. her dances were named after the movements she felt in them like rustiling tree or babbling brook. just an interesting fact is that she died by a red scarf getting caught in a car wheel.

Isadora was known as the mother of modern dance. She danced barefoot, creating a primitive style of improvisational dance.
