How can i make a samba headdress?

Question:I got a activity in my school and my friends and I are going to dance samba and we are going to dress like the women of the carnavals and we need the headdress. Anyone has any idea how to do that and keep in mind ''low budget''. Thank you.

Given the potential speed and rhythm bounce of the Samba, the important thing is to make sure whatever you're wearing is secure!

As for headdress, in addition to low budget, I'd keep it simple and light weight. Perhaps cut out a thin cardboard flower (or other shape), glue sequins or sparkles on to that. You could then add some feathers. You could attach it with a hair comb, or a headband. Lots of bobby pins too.
