ohh i had that at first but what i did was use marbles and picked them up with my feet then i took them over to another side
also if you just stand barefeet and stand on demi point on just one foot while supporting the other foot it'll improve very quickly i got a good arch in about 3 weeks
good luck!
been dancing forever!
:)

Sit in a pike position on the floor. Point your feet and get someone to push them down as far as they can until it hurts. Make sure that they do not go too far though. Then they should try to flex your feet, but you have to try to push your feet against their hands and pointe them down. Good luck!!!!!

the other answers are really good i just have another suggestion. my pointe work got really strong when i started concentrating on rolling through demi pointe on the way up and off of pointe. one of my teachers has an exercise at the barre where in first and then second position we roll up to releve with a plie and then roll down to demi pointe (not all the way down with your heels on the floor!) then roll back up to pointe. do it about 8 times in each position at first then increase it and make sure that you are using your toes, not your arms on the barre or your thighs. if you do it correctly, it is really effective.

good luck!!

If you have been en pointe for only a month, this is nothing to worry about. Just do your normal excersizes and your arch will improve. Your muscles dont take form until about a year after being en pointe.
