Question:i love this song and i want to do a duet and i am a lyrical dancer and he is a hip hop dancer. i want to know if this is a good idea and if combining hip hop and modern is ok

YES thats a great idea! i kind of make up dances in my head to songs and Apologize was one of them lol and it was kind of a hip hop-y modern dance too. i think it would look great. like you be all pretty and lyrical and he comes in and is like "BAM" ahah and then you just mesh together. great idea.

the song sounds good for a boy/girl duet, and mixing lyrical and hiphop sounds creative. so i'd say it would be okay. my advice: don't choreograph it so that the lyrical and hiphop dont make sense. make sure everything flows well together.

to me, you have chooosen the perfect song! there are those certain beats for a hip hop dancer and the song tempo is so emotional which is great for lyrical. i say you do a modern lyrical. you teach him some moves he teaches you and you combine it. go on youtube and search apologize dances or something and they might show some really good dance moves. hope i helped=)

i love hip-hop and jazz and modern are my passion.i love them.but yeah i think that would be a good idea.if you can picture it well the go for it.study other pieces of dances.see what steps you like.

apologize is a GREAT song for dancing. any kind doesnt matter. I freestyle and pop to it but i bet lyrical is alright too.
