Position:Home>Dancing> How would I find (GOOD) dance classes in my area, for like--hip hop, belly dance

Question:For ballroom, you can search on http://www.ballroomdancers.com or http://www.accessdance.com
Those are better than just yahoo search. As for GOOD - you will just have to go there and see if you like it. There is no universal advise, I could tell you which studios are good in my area, but I don't know about yours. In general, you don't want to sign up for a package deal when you're complete beginner and you don't know how to tell good instructors from not so good ones. See if you can find a drop-in class or a short series when you have to pay for no more than 6 group classes at once.

phonebook, or www.yellowpages.com

Where do you live?
In Granada Hills: Gotta Dance Academy of Performing Arts: http://www.gottadancestudio.com/

Look on internet, google, yahoo, dogpile, goodsearch....ect.

Try the local phone book and some of the good ones will let you sit in on a class before you join to get a feel for it. Or a gym, my In-shape gym has a few dance classes through the week.

if you go to yahoo search, type in "dance studio" or "dance class near (your zipcode)". Yahoo will pull it up for you. ;)

Take a class @ :1)Parks & Recreation Dept / Adult Ed. classes of your city. 2) download free clips of 12 basic core moves --www.magicalmotion.com and discussion of diff. dances styles, costumes, etc. 3) www.shira.net -- links to teachers over the country
