School dance help please?

Question:how should i dance like when all my friends go up and im not really a good dancer when i dance i feel like i am an idiot and dont no how...like when i just jump and throw my hands up i feel like i am an idiot what should i do????

The key to dancing is to move, or clap or somehow sway to the musical beat. Watch dancers that you like, and then in the quiet of your own room, try to do what they do, only do it a lot less... You know what I mean.. If you like one move, try that yourself, but do it just slightly, while moving to the beat of your music..
I was just like you.. and I know what I'm talking about. But here is another secret.. If you do dance, and anyone makes fun of you, laugh along with them and say: "All I can do is move to the music.. " Then ignore them.. Just relax, and move to the music.. don't do any "big" moves, just get into the music and move.. and you'll dance as well as anyone..

One more time I'm suggesting: Don't jump and throw your hands up.. Just move with the music, and enjoy the music with your movements.. Be cool, don't overdo it.. Just be cool and have fun..

Try it, you'll find that dancing is really fun, and when you're having fun, you are not an idiot,, you are a dancer.

ignore the people around u and move to the music. Or make it a game with your friends to see who can think up the weirdest dance moves.My personal favorite is the sprinkler. You put one hand behind your head and then your other arm straight out in front of you. Then you move like a sprinkler and make sprinkler noises. Its really fun!
