Atea's Magical Motion series of 3 beginner videos is a classic. Take a class @ :1)Parks & Recreation Dept / Adult Ed. classes of your city. 2) download free clips of 12 basic core moves --www.magicalmotion.com and discussion of diff. dances styles, costumes, etc. 3) www.shira.net -- links to teachers over the country & tons of info on every aspect; books, videos, reviewed.

Rachel Brice's "Tribal Fusion - Yoga, Isolations, and Drills for Belly Dance" makes a great practice companion. There's no choreography, but the yoga sequences and repetitive isolation drills will help you get back into form.

I have the DVD "Bellydance Basics and Beyond: Technique for a Solid Foundation (2006)"

http://www.amazon.com/Bellydance-Basics-...

She goes over alot of moves and presents them quite well.
