well its my 10th year of dance and i pretty much just got them. i first did the motions at the barre without turing. and i do kinda of a half fouette. then i finally moved to the floor, spotting helps a lot it makes yoy stay in one place and have better balnce.

5? and then a double? well i just put a lot of power into the turn and then on the 5th turn have a lot of power and doulble as fast and pretty as i can, and if you are luck you can get about 2-4 turns out of it.

good luck!

where are you from and where do you dance?

Try them at the barre first without turning. Go through the motions with one hand on the barre. Once you feel comfortable enough, try them in the center without turning. Once you're able to do that, try them turning. Also, spotting really does help when doing fouettes. Keep your abs engaged as this will help stablize you and keep your balance.

To answer your question about getting better at doing 5 fouettes and then a double, practice, practice, practice. Fouettes and ala seconde turns are pretty much the hardest turns to learn and master. It takes time to get them looking nice. Good luck! :)

make sure your abs are tightened. don't hunch. make sure your leg goes to second before you take it to posse. have a super straight leg while rotating. have a good headspot. don't drop your leg when bringing it to first or second. your arms must be rounded and your elbows are up. when you plie your body is not contracing forward (toward your leg). high releve. your legs are turned out. and do a full turn before bringing your leg to first/corner...well thats all the tips i can give you.

all of the tips already mentioned, plus plie in between each fouette with your hips and shoulders square. a lot of times when a leg is off the floor a la seconde, the hip on that side likes to sneak up. big no no, which will thow your balance off.

it always helps me to suck up and think up not around. also try focusing your thoughts not on the turn itself but breathing breath in after you land and are turning your leg to get you going and while you're turning and then when you plie breath out. HOPE I HELPED!!!

practice practice practice.

honestly, thats all it takes.
