Question:whenever i try and straight my legs during dance, they are never acutually gully straight, my teacher says that it is because a muscle in my thigh has tensed up from my tumbling and the i need to stretch it out. does anyone know how i can solve this problem or how i can stretch that muscle?

well if it is from tense muscles, stretch your quads

also try stretching your hamstrings

(splits and stuff like that work good for stretching =g your hamstrings as well)


otherwise maybe you just have to try a new way to stretch your knees. instead of thinking of locking your knees, think of pulling up from behind your knee. i dont know if this makes sense to you, but it really does help. it helps to hyper extend you knees (which is good for dance). pretty much think of pulling up from your knees, not pushing back to straighten them.
