d. a&b

port de bras have nothing to do with jumps...except that they improve flexibility. you actually do them on demi-pointe because its much harder to balance, you have to make sure that you dont let your hips go back when you do port de bras forward, and its much harder to hold your turnout

Well, first off, F: All of the above

Secondly, if you have to do it on pointe, you have to do it on demi-pointe first, true? Yes. And men never go on pointe. So, when else would they do port de bras and cambre?

you can't go on pointe, you're a guy. so you have to go on demi!

it's all of them.

hope I helped,
E

The best answer is d.A&B (thats confusing lol). Port de bras and cambre elongate the spine while increasing the stretch to the thighs and calves. Additionally, the movemet increases strain on the hip flexor, and therefor the dancer is encouraged to learn proper alignment and maintanence while performing port de bras and cambres. You need to be able to keep a nice turn out, but learn how to change your center of gravity without sticking your tucus out and ruining the line!
