Your fouttes always have to be in balance and in line with each other. You have to keep your balance and land gently. You always have to be thinking about your next move and you also have to be concentrating really hard about what is coming next. When I started I would get confused between the two fouttes. The one where you switch your leg and the one that you don't. So remember to always think about your legs and your posture. You have to turn your head nicely, and if you still don't get it you should ask your teacher for help.

Leaps in general you have to keep your arms up in scissors. Never bend your legs and and look forward instead of to the side. Also, you have to remember in leaps, your foot that is closest to the mirror goes first and then the second leg. If you pick them up at the same time they are most likely to bend.

When doing any kind of turn, like a pirouette for an example you will always spot. Concentrate on a place in the room and keep looking at it and turn... then your head will snap back and you will have a perfect turn. Also you have to keep your leg high in passe and keep it firm to your leg without sickling.

Good Luck!

stretch, practice

For your fouttes, try practicing with your leg not too high until you get the turn down pretty well and make sure on ALL turns you spot. Practice in the mirror and when you are turning look for your eyes in the mirror. Keep your contact until you cant keep your head there ne more and spin it around until you have eye contact again. This will help with any kind of turns. Well for your leaps, just practice. Stretch, ect...They take time but everytime you do leaps across the dance floor make sure you chasse' very big and plie' low and jump high...If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

Just practice and strech out. Practice though is key!

as mentioned, spotting will help you with any turn. to get used to fouttes, try doing them without the turn until you get used to the change of balance. move your leg into the rond de jambe, through passe, and releve as appropriate. once you have that, take it to the barre and add the turn. that way, you have the barre to grab onto to keep your ba;ance in check.
for leaps, it always helped me to visualize doing a split, then when i went to do the actual jump i imagined sliding the split out onto a tabel top. its sounds crazy, but it works!
