I could be wrong, but the only name I have ever heard them called is either the prime dancer, or the lead dancer!

(The programs won't list the women as "ballerinas.") Since this appears to be an on-going question, it sounds as though your daughter needs to see first-hand that the professional world of ballet is not filtered through a female lens.
