Position:Home>Dancing> How do I get over this?

Question:For 4 years, I've had the most incredible dance teacher ever. then 1 year, she decided to go teach at another school where i'm too far away from. I got stuck with someone who could SO NOT dance and was practically the teacher instead. That lasted 1 year. Now this year, I have a new one who is permanent and he's really great and everything. But I still can't get over what happened with my first teacher. She was the best. I know I have to move on, but how can I if I lost my amazing stretch and am working SO hard to get it back. These past couple of years have been complicated.

Time to grow as a dancer! Having different dance teachers in life is not only healthy for your dance career it enables you to venture into different styles. You didn't mention what style of dance you do. Perhaps it is time to venture out and try other studios... or it might be time for you to step up and start working as an assistant teacher.

Remember dance teachers don't get paid much unless they are also a regular dancer in a show or if they tour with a recording artist. So she may have had to leave for very good reasons. It's just a sign that it's time for a change in your dance routine, time to grow.

Best wishes!
How do me in yahoo oh....... i know abt u PlEaSe U nEeD sEnD mE oK bYeE
Similar thing has to happened to me.

Why not try and call her? And just talk to her, you may never know she could be teaching at another studio close to you or she may be doing private lessons.

If you can't at least you have a beautiful memory of the dance teacher you will never forget.

I hope this helps :)
I know how that feels. But you just need to go on with your dancing and do your very best.
