DOes anyone know a song that has to do with leaving your past and coming to a new future?

I need a song that describes someone that had a horrible past and is very sad about it and decides to change her whole identity and make things better. It doesnt have to be exactly that but it should be more of a sad or mad song. Thanks so much!
