What is your opinion on this dance for two15 year olds.?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vjimsvkb... , this is the dance my theater/performing arts teacher would not let my my friend and me perform. She says it is to vulgar, and obscene. I do agree to some extent. However, she gave me her word in the beginning we could perform it and inadvertently changed her mind. Do you in all honesty believe this dance is not worth performace by two 15 year old in front of the school?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I thought that the bit at the beginning on the chairs was a bit boring but apart from that it was really good. I dont' see why she won't let you do it, well i can a bit, but if you change it a bit with the dance teacher's help then i'm sure she can't not let you perform it. i think that it is really unfair of her to change her mind but i'm sure that she has a good explanation for it.
Anyway just suggest changing a few of the vulgar bits and she might let you perform it.
The stunts are really good and you must be an amazing dancer to perform them and the whole dance routine.

Hope this helps. no, its great! i love that routine! that's how dancers are you have to be that way i am in a top 50 dance studio, if you want to make it on teams you have to be into dance, but i didn't like the routine That dance would be hard for two 15-year-olds to do *well*, and if not not well, would bring down lots of disapproval on the school.

If the female student's father said OK, and the male student was gay, it probably would be OK in any school, but otherwise, there are a lot of parents out there that would raise a big fuss. omg, is she crazy? lol, i think it's amazing if you guys could pull it off! Just put a little more space between your faces throughout the dance and then the end is awesome too (but no making out after ; ) ) lol good luck convincing your teacher =) im torn in answering this. when i saw them do this on SYTYCD i literally thought it looked like a raunchy rap video and all they did was crawl on each other. watching it now, i think it can be done if youre very mature about it. maybe you can tweek it a bit, lose the pelvic thrusts, theyre discusting. and don;t do the fake kiss, its just lame, and when he picks her up, i wouldnt do the leg wrap thing, just make it a suspended move for a second, the point will get across just fine.
