Thanks everyone!!! I'm way more confident now.....you all gave me some awesome feedback..Jenny!! lol....i don think is ever too late......
u can do it.....i mean d girl dat won so u think u can dance only did dance for 4 years so .... if she can do it so can u....
i always wanted to learn ballet 2..... but ppl tell me is not ma life style since i'm a b-girl... so i neva tried.... :(
hope i helped good luck!!! Did you see the last "so you think you can Dance"? The winner had only danced for 3 years or so... Talent is Talent. I say go for it! Yea! well it depends on how good you are just pratice everyday and mayb u will go pro. Ask your ballet teacher. Your teacher will know if you are talented. Hey, i'm a sophomore in highschool just starting ballet and I've had both "It's too late" and "it's not too late!". It depends on who you're talking to. But if we work really hard, we might just make it! Now, we might not get to be in a famous German singer's music video (look up Polina Semionova), or have a gazillion biographies written about us, but hey, dance is dance with or without fame, right? :D Heck, I'd be happy with the theater in my home town, but that's just me. :) Not if you're naturally good and willing to commit As a girl, it is too late to be a professional ballet dancer, but not too late for other forms of dance.

My daughter is a senior dance major in college who started dance classes at 3 and has been studying dance seriously ever since and she can barely hope to find employment as a ballet dancer. Fortunately, she's been studying other dance styles as well.

Keep in mind that Sabra Johnson (the recent winner on SYTYCD) is not a professional ballet dancer. There is a difference and there are no short cuts to becoming professional in that extremely tough form of dance. It is probably too late to work as a professional ballet dancer but not a professional dancer. You will have to work twice as hard to make up for lost time!

Break a Leg! i took ballet when i was little like 9-11 my teacher was the worst teacher in the world and she did nothing right.. what i meen by this is we didnt know the terms, correct posture, alignement of the feet, nothing!! and she started putting us on pointe... oh and also she never did a warm up!!! and it was a half hour class!!! so ... i really didnt take it up again until now.. and i am in college. and everything is like new to me... i love it and i am doing really good with it.. and hopefully soon i will get to get on pointe shoes again THE correct way.
the moral of the story is it is never to late... i am 21 years old... and to make you feel better there is a women who is 32 in my ballet class... and she has never takeing it eaither...
it is never to late to try something new! I agree with janine_rs ..there are girls who work so hard all their life to dance ballet and employment options are slim..alot of companys like to hire around 18-21 yrs..

But apart from ballet there is a better chance of going pro with jazz or something...
