im a girl, and our school dances theme is 1980s night. any ideas on what i can wear??

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Having lived through the 80's at an age that allows me to remember them, I can tell you with authority that the only real solution to this problem is to eliminate the planning committee that came up with such an awful theme. Leggings was popular then---a little trashy too. Think early Madonna--or the movie Flashdance.

Wear big hair and shoulder pads. Bright, big, plastic jewelry. side pony tail with a big, bright scrunchy.
a skirt and leggings.
bright jewlery. oversize t-shirts with belts at the waist, big poufy hair, bright blue eyeshadow Spandex with pumps.. A big t-shirt with the back cut out into some kind of design and a thick belt worn loose around the waist. Hair 1/2 up and 1/2 down.....very high tho. Big jewelry. Very disco!! Button down shirt with a skinny tie, leggings, legwarmers, side pony tail (crimped would be best), lace gloves, lots of bangles. Have a great time I love the 80's. Madonna was very in, in the 80's so stockings with holes and torn up shirts. Do you like movies? Check out Desperately seeking Susan (Madonna) or 16 Candles. I did a yahoo search of "1980 fashion photo" check out the hair styles. Have fun at your party. leg warmers, a HUGE t-shirt, scrunchies, wild hair, red lipstick, scrunchies, tuck your shirt in.
