i've been trying to go into a full right split lately, & i can almost do it. But today I just got this HORRIBle cramp in my left knee. What are some ways to stretch it out & get my right split?


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: With the palm of your hand, roll your kneecap around in large circles. Then apply icyhot or use ice then put a heating pad on it. The same thing happened to me. Just keep practicing the splits and your me in it in no time

Tip to get into a split: Dont use your hand at all when lowering yourslef down ( i usually put mine on my head so I"m not tempted. Very slowly lower youse;f down and you will be further. Then when you've hit the maximum. Put your hand on the floor and stretch further. If you have a bar without a wall behind it (like a portable bar) hold the low bar and go into your split. My ballet teacher. Make sure you are fully warmed up first of all. Try going into the split form the floor(kneel then extend 1 leg in front till straight then extend the back and hold) instead of drop splits. Don't push yourself further that what your body is telling you. Being fully stretched out and warmed up before working on splits is the most important key. take a bath and then try to do the splits again and maybe it will be gone
