Question:

I need as many answers as possible-don't you think this is appalling?

Yesterday I was at the biggest dance competition in the state. It was the Under 16 Contemporary/Neo Classical troupe.

The troupe that came second stole the idea/props/music/story and some of the choreography off So You Think You Can Dance Season 2, Calling You by Mia Michaels danced by Travis and Heidi. You know the dance with the flower and the bench?

Except this dance had 5 couples.

ARRGHHH I am so upset...I don't really care that they came 2nd but just the fact they stole that much!

Oh and maybe that we missed getting an HM by 3 points lol :P

ok lol, end of rant!

Oh and if you have no idea what dance I'm talking about ->http://youtube.com/watch?v=wnpn7i0vlvm...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: That's kinda like plagiarism, isn't it? I mean, if i'd stolen something that someone else has written and pawned the idea off as my own... Yeah. That's just wrong. Atleast your conscience is clear! i'm never gonna dance agin...

the way i danced with u..uuuuuuuu

time can not change, the careless whispers...

of a good frien.... Did they at least credit the original choreographer? If not, that's messed up and they shouldn't have done that. Then again, these competition crazies will do anything for a trophy. thats not fair....oh well, at least you can rest assured that you have a good conscience. thats such crap. to a lesser degree, one studio used to do that to ours all the time. same song, but cut differently, same costume but a different colour. my sister coaches cheerleading at the school she used to cheer for. they have an entire section fo round 1 thats like a clap series and another school did the exact same routine, right after them. people are retarded. If it makes them feel good - more power to them. They can't possibly think that people wouldn't know. I was just as disapointed when I saw a samba performance on SYTYCD that was mostly copied from Yulia Zagoyuchenko and Max Kozhevnikov. I mean, these people are professionals... on TV!
