Question:

i already put the heel down and sewn the ribbons and elastic..but were should i sew the elastic in the back

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: like 1/2 a centimeter away from the seam.

if you get blisters easily, or your pointe shoes are rather tight in the back, you might want to sew them on the outside, but otherwise you can sew them inside...it looks nicer and neater inner portion of the heel one way some people decide to sew the backs of their pointe shoe is like this.
1. fold down the back part of your shoe (this includes the whole back part so it goes over the shank)
2. then the corners are where you sew (the elastic fits right into the corner, then you sew onto the part you just folded over)

**before you sew, make sure it is the right amount of room in the elastic so your foot wont fall out or sufficate**

i hope this helps Here's a great web site with info about sewing on ribbons and elastic:

http://www.danceart.com/dancestuff/p_pre... youre talking about the elastic loop in the heel? right where the heel seem is, it will be right in the middle fo where you sewed the elastic that you crossed. if it doesnt bother you to do so, sew in on the inside of the shoe, below the drawtsring so it wont pull out
