Question:

I'm choreographing a dance for 3rd grade cheerleaders and cant decide what stunts to put in it... ideas??

what type of stunts should i put in it? thigh stands, shoulder sits, possibly an elevater? i've never seen them cheer, but i've taught them a dance before and they're quick learners. should i talk to they're coach about what they can do?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You are not going to need much unless you're really competitive! I mean their are 3rd grade! But I would ask them what they want to do.
What ever you put in.....make sure you can laugh if it doesn't work and even if it does, it's going to be quite cute! Do not get angry because your choreograhpy is "slaughtered".

They love to CLAP and put their arms out/up!
Jumping is GOOD! Jump and turn. Jump and turn again.

Your local movie rental should have dance videos or you could watch all the "bring it on" movies WITHOUT them (the 3rd graders)! Watch the dancing group "Stomp out Loud" (most awesome!!! MOST awesome) Go to the middle school games and watch the older girls/kids Source(s):
my 3 daughters experiences with parents "planning" things that never work but are very funny! Very fun! LOL DO some elevators with small cradles. Remember to have supports on all sides. Nothing above shoulder hight. well.. since they are third graders "stunts" may be a little too complicated for them. i think that at this point in their lives, it may be just best to go simple, with some cute little cheers and arm movements. it really would be best to make sure they dont hurt themselves in the prosess just remember not to have really big stunts because theyre 3rd graders
