Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Use some of your moves from what you already know....don't worry about it. Just try to chill with your friends and have a good time. There is no certain way to dance.....some people are good, some are ok and some are no good....what they all have in common----they all have fun. Roll with it. don't ask me. step by step. for actual help. Google dance moves and guides. Do the new hip-hop dance ''Crank Dat''
lol
Simple if you are with your friends move your feet side to side and clap your hands to the beat. Don't think about it so hard. Just dance however you feel at the moment. Have fun most of all! If it's fast music, I don't think there are any special steps any more, just put your arms up in the air if you want and just step to the rhythm of the music--right, center, back, left--I don't know. Slow dances, your partner is supposed to lead you--but you put your arms around his neck or your left arm on his right shoulder, clasp the other hands together and step or sway to the music. It could be the two step--one, two to the right, one to the left and kind of go around in a circle. It's so darn crowded, it doesn't really matter. Don't worry, have fun. I don't think the school will allow you to grind--I think that's disgusting anyway. However you want! My personal favorite is "dance like you're covered in wet paint and want to get it off" ok swetie i'm a dance teacher and a dancer myself all the move you have been showen in ur dances ever body all was has fav moves from there dances there showen remember them and your 8 counts and count out the first 2 counts of 8 to get the beat and throw the moves in u remember or if u remember a dance ur working on do it an throw more moves in if u need to i hope i help u if you need any thing eles i take emails on here just email me and i'll help u out good luck show'em what you got just follow the rhythm and goof around its not like a dance class where you are graded on it I know how you must feel. I'm a professional choreographer - been dancing for 12 years now. I say there's two kinds of dancers... 1. The technically trained dancer and 2. The soul dancer. If you can only dance to choreography that means you're type #1. A good way to break out of this is learn to free style. I'm not sure where you live but venture out to some hip hop clubs in Los Angeles, New York or Miami where you'll find industry and professional dancers discreetly mixed in amongst the crowd. These types of clubs have dancers who truly dance from the heart... when you get into the groove you'll find your own style of expression. Then when you go out dancing, what you wear almost always dictates your range of movement and style of movement. When I go to an upscale club, I have to wear "girly clothes" like heels so it limits how I can dance. When I go out to the hip hop or smaller clubs, I can dress like a b-girl and "throw down". Listen closely to the music and let the rhythm move you.. there is where you'll find your style. Good luck!
