Question:

Does anyone take dance lessons?

Does anyone know popular chains of dance studios that are in most states. I'm looking for lessons.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Depends on what kind of dance you're looking to learn. Most chain dance studios are Ballroom type like Arthur Murray. You can learn salsa, ballroom, waltz etc. If you're looking for Ballet, Tap or Hip Hop you won't find a chain studio. The great thing about dance studios is as a dancer you get to search the ones who will fit your style and performance needs. I can recommend excellent studios for Hip Hop. In LA you might try: The Edge, Millenium, or Imperial Dance out near Yorba Linda. Last I was out there they had instructors who are all with agencies. In Boston the Dance Complex is good. Hawaii - Dance Central, 24/VII and Honolulu Dance Studio all have industry choreographers. New York - take your pick, tons of great dance studios out there. Dallas - I haven't found a good studio there, just a few good choreographers. If you're looking for an instructor always find out what their background is - what's their experience and where have they performed/how long have they been dancing and do they still perform? Most studios will allow you to watch a class to see if you like that type of movement. Most importantly, it is critical that dancers try different choreographers. It's the best way to stay creative and fluid with your dancing. Source(s):
Owned a studio & lived the life of a dancer No, but I'd like to. My wife would love it if I took her dancing and could do more than my Michael Jackson moonwalk that I do when drunk. Private Lessons are best but expensive. Try to find a teacher
who is expert in the Tango.
The Tango has the best music and is the most romantic.
