For people that take ballet...?


is it fun? im starting on monday and im kinda scared...will it take me forever to get things right? oh and most of all does it help you loose weight i was wondering?

im 14 btw so will it be harder for me? i am a ballet dancer,....i've been doing it since i waz 4..... it all depends on how coordnated u r && how quick u pick up on things......and weight dosnt tecnically matter.....and at first u beinf 14 mite makeit a little difficult...but u will get the hang of it pretty quick im sure!

I loved ballet but now im pregnant so I cant take it
And its not that it makes you lose weight .
You just got to keep your weight down to be "flawless"
The less you way the higher you can jump and etc., If you have the passion and drive for it, then it is a lot of fun. You should know that ballet is one of the harder genres of dance. It has a lot of structure to it. It takes a lot of dedication and discipline. You may have to work very hard to be considered a good ballet dancer. Ballet may help you tone your body. It takes a lot of strength to be a ballet dancer, but it's not necessarily always a big cardio workout like hip-hop or other genres can be. Anyone can start dance at any time as long as they love what they're doing, so don't worry about it! Just have fun and remember to keep your head up even if it gets hard. It takes alot of dedication, and hard work. if you work on the positions, and arms, and try to make yourself look perfect and flawless, but it's really rewarding. I mean its good excersize, and can strengthen your muscles, but i still strugle w/ my weight, and i go 4 times a week 4 ballet! But wat im saying is i think its fun, and if you try your hardest it can be very rewarding, but i doubt u'll lose a lot of weight ballet is fun only if you look at it at that perspective. ive been dancing for 10 years and i think its fun and something i want to do with the rest of my life. dont expect to do everything perfectly but after taking many classes you will know wut your doing. dont get discored. just think of it as a way to learn more and take in as much detail and instuction as you cn from your instructer as well as other dancers. as for it brning weight-its excercise so yes you will burn some weight-and the lighter you are the easier it is to dance-just dont go overboard trying to loose weight.
