when you stand on point, the hard sole of the shoe bends just enough, but is still relatively flat when the shoe is not being worn, and the toe box is just soft enough around the top rim to allow for some flexability of the foot

If you mean broken beyond being wearable:
the sole is permanently arched or even bent in the middle, and the toe box is too mushy to provide any support
