SWING dancers! Do you prefer East or West Coast? And why?

Question:

SWING dancers! Do you prefer East or West Coast? And why?

No particular reason for this question, except that I'm curious. :) I've learned and danced both East and West Coast swing. I like both of them, but I definitely have a preference. However, I'm not going to explain it yet, because I don't want to bias anyone else's answers.

Please tell me which swing style you prefer, and also your reasons why. Thanks and happy holidays! :)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I prefer ECS - it is a lot more widespread, not that many people from East Coast dance WCS at all. ECS is a foundation dance - once you learn ECS you can easily learn Jive or Lindy and many other forms of swing. It is more universal in this sence. WCS is different from other forms. For me, ECS is almost like Jive, and Jive is what I really like. I have a lot more training in Jive than in ECS or WCS, and I think we tend to like what we do well. I like the music for ESC much better than WCS.
