Question:

Tango, Salsa, etc.?

Hi, so I actually just saw the movie Take The Lead and I'd really like to know how to Tango and Salsa. I really wanna know how to do them because I'm trying to make myself a better dancer and such. Anyone have any tips/suggestions?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The first and foremost - go to dance classes. This is the most efficient way to learn. You can find inexpensive classes at your local community college or at a dance studio near you.
You can use this website http://www.ballroomdancers.com to locate a studio near you. Also, go to http://usabda.com for more information about where to find a studio, which studio is good in your area, also, where can you practice your new skill at social dancing.

Many people say they learm from instructional videos. It is another good resource. However, classes are better than videos especially when you starting out because in classes you will be helped if the teacher sees that you are having difficulties. Search for dance videos on http://www.dancevision.com or http://dancesport.uk.com What they carry is quality stuff. You can also try to find the same videos on Amazon, but don't go to Amazon seraching for vidoes directly - many of them are of questionable quality, despite the reviews.

Last but not least - practice, practice, practice. You need to dance at least 2-3 times a week in order to learn and not forget.
