Question:

Questions about your ballet class!?

Okay I was hoping that someof you who do ballet would tell me the school you go to (you dont have to rly), the level you are at, your age and what you guys do in your class (justan outline). I'm asking because I started late on ballet and want to know how much i need to catch up and figure out what they do in ballet classes that are a level or above mine. :) Thanks and I don't care if you're younger or older just tell me and it should help. <3

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I train at Houston Ballet Academy and I'm in level 6 out of the eight levels. Throughout the week I have many different teachers and while their styles of teaching vary a regular ballet class consists of an almost set pattern: combinations at the barre (which include plies, tendus, etc.) and combinations out in the center which usually include turns and jumps. As you gradually progress you need to push yourself a little harder each class: an extra pierouette, a higher jump, and to kick your leg up higher.
