Question:

Why is constructive criticism important in the discipline of dance?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Constructive criticism is very important to a growing dancer in terms of learning what is good and what needs work. This can be anything from technique to performance to bad habits you have. You can't expect to master everything yourself and good teachers will find a way to help you. As with all criticism, take the time to evaluate it, thank the person for their help, and determine whether it is applicable to you. Not all criticism is correct, even from teachers, but it is your job to determine the value of their critique.

By using criticisms to your advantage you can improve much faster if you take them in the right way. Just remember that if the teacher didn't care, they wouldn't give you anything to fix, so never take it in a negative way!
