Just in ballroom alone you have cha cha, waltz, swing (ECS, WCS, lindyhop, hustle, shag, jive, balboa, etc), Latin (salsa, merengue, rumba, tango, mambo, samba, paso doble, etc), nightclub two-step, and more that I can't think of off the top of my head. For solo dancing there is modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, etc. Most of it can be broken down even further into subgenres with no end in sight. To make it even more complicated, new dances are made all the time. |
