Question:

Which Is a better Dance College OU or OCU?

Oklahoma University or Oklahoma City University

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Personally, I would go with OCU. The reason for my choice is I have known several girls who graduated from OCU and I know that they are terrific dancers with solid technique. The proof is in the pudding so to speak. I also know that Jo Rowan, who founded the dance program is the Chairman of the American School of Dance & Arts Management, is an excellent instructor and dancer (although I don't know if she teaches classes anymore or not) she sees that the standards are held high so that the dancers that come from their program are of the highest quality.
Looking at the 2 schools online, OU only offers classical ballet and modern forms and your degree will only be in dance. OCU offers ballet, tap and jazz as well as musical theatre. You can get a dance degree or a dance management degree or an entertainment business degree. These varied types of degrees allows a broader field of employment for a dancer.

So you need to look at exactly what you want to do with your degree. What is your goal? Classical ballet or modern? I am sure that the OU program is an excellent one, this may be a good choice for you. Do you want other dance forms? Do you want a management degree that could allow you to work in the dance industry after your dance career has ended? Perhaps OCU is the choice if that's the case.

Good luck in your search, both schools are good schools, you'll figure out which one fits your dreams.
