How do I go about finding a sponsor for a dance group?

Im the leader of my gospel mime group.We are in need of funds, in general. How do we go about, or where do we look to find sponsors for such.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You can start with local businesses. Find one in the community that the church is in and approach them. When you speak with the owner of this business make sure that you tell them that they WILL GET advertisement for their sponsorship. As an example after the church service the pastor will announce to the congregation that THANKS to Joe's Gas and Oil Service station the gospel mime now has nice garments or whatever the sponsorship pays for. And get a nice story with the local paper making mention of the business. This does sell and works for the most part. Good Luck.
