If you study the Cecchetti, you'll learn different names for the various positions and poses than you would if you studied in, say, the Vaganova method. The arabesque arms are different, and there are general stylistic differences. Cecchetti emphasizes side work, whereas Vaganova is heavy with back work. There are many other differences as well; in general, it's just a different style and technique of ballet.
