Age for ballet?

Age for ballet?

I was wondering if ballet is something that you have to start at a young age or if its possible to start being older. I'm 18, I dance jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, but would love to give ballet a try. Any advice would be great.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Usually ballet is something kids start at a very young age, like elemenary school, but why not give it a try anyway. You have the advantage of all of the other training and ballet is really good for your body. You would probably advance really quickly at first. Give it a try. What have you got to lose.
