Ideas for an audition piece?

I am working on a storyline for a screenplay and a part of it involves ballet. My theme/storyline is based on the story The Princess and the Pea. I want to create a scene where my character auditons for the lead role, but I am unsure on how to do so. I needed to know if anyone had any ideas on how to create a audition peice, what kind of music would you use or make any other suggetions on how I should develop a good audition scence.
