Is it really possible to do the splits in like 2 months or less? If so, how?

I loooove to dance, but as you get older, there are more requirments. I am about 4 in off the ground from doing the splits and i want to know how i can do it in the next few weeks or in like 2 months. And how?? I know i have to strech every day, but what streches work??? Please help me!!


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: be sure that you're very throughly warmed up before you begin stretching! you get better results, don't pull any muscles, and the stretching stays in your muscles longer.

try bending the front leg, and straightening the back, in a split position. then bend back and straighten front. keep stretching like that.

put your left knee on the floor, and get your shin against a wall. stretch your right leg forward, and go down as far as you can. do with the other leg as well.

i don't know if this is enough, but four inches is pretty close! you can do it! good luck!

(also, you might just be afraid... once you're about 1~2 inches off, just try to get your arms up in the air, and you might find that you can actually go all the way! ~(^o^)~)
